» Their Canon relationship?
In the infamous Deathly Hallows epilogue, Harry Potter marries Ginny Weasley and has three children. James, Albus, and Lily, and that's the order of their births. Albus Severus is the middle child, and is named after two very brave and loyal men, Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape, respectively. We learn in the epilogue that Albus is the only child that inherited Harry's eyes and looks the most like him. In the epilogue, it's Albus Severus' first year at Hogwarts (he's at 9 3/4, waiting to board the Hogwarts Express). We learn that Albus has fears of being sorted into Slytherin. Harry has a very sweet and deep talk with him and tells him that there's nothing wrong with being in Slytherin. That Albus Severus has even been named after a Slytherin who was probably the bravest man Harry ever knew. In the end, Harry confesses to Albus that Albus can choose which house he wants to be in, something Harry never shared with his other children.
» My personal stance on their relationship?
I'm not a fan of the epilogue, to get that out of the way. It's not my thing. But I couldn't stop being intrigued by the very close bond Harry and Albus Severus have. I always knew Harry would be a great dad and you see how a great dad he is when he interacts with Albus. I love their relationship as father and son, and feel that those two have the most close relationship out of everyone, or, meaning, Harry has more of a closer relationship with Albus Severus than with his other two children. Not that he doesn't have a close relationship with his other children. But his relationship with Albus is special, to me anyway. So that's why I'm a fan. Not to mention that I'm so sure Albus will choose to be in Slytherin at the end, but that's completely out of context here. lol!
